UN Youth, in conjunction with Otago University, held the Invercargill Model United Nations at Southland Boys' High School on Friday 9 August.
Five schools took part in the opportunity to try their hand at international relations and diplomacy.
Model United Nations is an academic simulation of the United Nations where students play the role of delegates from different countries and attempt to solve real world issues with the policies and perspectives of their assigned country.
The issue up for discussion was global food security and sustainability.
