Sam Lawrence took out Overall Champion at the recent South Island Mountain Biking Championships.

Last term Sam Lawrence, Ryan McRitchie-King, and Max Kean competed in the South Island Mountain Biking Championships held at Coronet Peak in Queenstown.

The conditions were perfect all week with sun, good temperatures, and fast challenging tracks. Sam and Max competed in the U16 age group and Ryan in the U15's.

Sam was on fire, winning the Overall Champion title - with gold in the Downhill, gold in the Enduro, and bronze in the Cross-country.

Max rode well and finished 12th in the Downhill, 12th in the Enduro and 34th in the Cross-country. Ryan, competing in the U15's, finished 11th in the Downhill, 4th in the Enduro and 10th in the Cross-country.

Congratulations to Sam for taking out the title, and to Ryan and Max for excellent results all round.
