Recently we were privileged to welcome back Old Boy Josh Burnett (2014-2018), who spoke to the Year 9 DAP boys about his journey in cycling. He gave them insight into why he started riding, placing the importance on having fun at a young age and trying a variety of sports.
Josh also talked about some of the sacrifices he has made in recent years to ensure that he stays focused and achieving his goals. He talked about his recovery in the recent Tour of Southland, and how he channeled these thoughts, being the leading rider on the last day - becoming the first Southlander to win the Tour of Southland since Doug Bath in 1994.
Josh, thank you for giving up your time to hopefully inspire the next generation of sporting champions.
